well, here is finally that crazy collab i teased you guys with not too long ago.
been working on it since feb 19th, corey started it on the 17th (step by step soon to come)
back and forth, a total of 9 times. fun trying to keep a .psd small enough to do that. ftp helps!
it was a really fun time throwing ideas back and forth and getting input with ideas and crits and such. it's a wonderfully successful experiment, and i want to do lots more of these, with all kinds of artists as well meshing styles and such.
i picked corey initially because our styles were so similar and he reads the wonderland books (you can see fanart in his gallery)
well, thats all for now, i'll post more about the working process in the step by step.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactWow! I do not know if I am good enough to give feedback for this piece, but I'll do my best. I do not know the characters you pictured neither, so I will try to give you my impressions without knowing anything about them.
Overall it is a magnificent picture... the two standing figures in the middle give the feeling of power end serenity while the crouching girl being lower, gives the impression of being in presence of gods... That said, I would have put her more in the middle of the two figures, her back to the viewer, and not in semi-profile as she is. It would have left her expression completely to the imagination of the viewer and help in the geometry construction of the piece, giving to the standing figures more impact.
Technically speaking, there are some ups and downs... The standing figures, the background forest, the rock pillars and the lighting effects are amazing. The costume of the angel girl is perfect, and so is the one from the redhead. But the hair and the loincloth of the man look a bit less detailed. So does the waterfall... looks more like hair than water.
There is also a bit of white halo around the redhead hair that is a bit disturbing to the eye.
Overall, this is a magnificent work... the small details are just that: small details...
