this was a completely self indulgent cover, was nice for a change. instead of being given a cover concept I had something in mind and got it approved and just went for it, this cover only took a day from start to finish.

I'm gonna be honest I'm a sucker for Arial and mermaids that somewhat resemble her (which is why Scott's mermaids form his calendars are my favorite body of work that he has done). The persepective on this piece is awesome, and I love how different that tail is. I think my favorite parts about this piece is the water because it is so rich and silky, and the signature in the sand lol. I dont know why but well place signature always make me smile in a piece. Especially when they flow with the work itself
