Question: Do you apply a lot of subtle inner and outer glows here and there just so that colors can intermix a bit?

no i dont use inner or outer glows because you dont have full control over them. ive always done my glows manually.

See when I see pages like this it compels me to buy them just to look at your work. Many times I could care less about the book.

green and pink... I wouldn't have thought of mixing them.
But it comes out nice, I'll remember this one ^^

Okay, I enjoy comics, but I'm not familiar with the terms you used.
If you don't mind, what is the difference between "lines" "inks" and "colors"?
This might just be ignorance talking, but at least two of those sounds like the same thing.

after lines and ink it would be a manga ;)

So, inking includes tones?

well i think it overlaps? inking does the black parts, so the tones are actually done in color?

Well, unfortunately, I do not have access to your brain; I am neither psychic nor a zombie.
I've watched people work on manga, but not on American comics. I would assume the process is similar, but tones is where I get confused.

somebody draws it in pencil, then somebody else uses inks to clean up the pages and make them darker, then i go in with colors like a coloring book.

That makes sense, but is it the person with ink or the person with color who's responsible for really dark shadows?
These are things that I've always wondered when I read American comics.

Well, that's all that really matters, isn't it?
As long as the process makes sense to the people who do it, no one else has any right to call criticism on it.
