This was a neat few pages to work on especially, because of what became of them.
My editor sent an email explaining his worries of a book dominated by pastel greens, and asked for something new, darker, and a little more along the lines of the movie coming out.
So I did this. Different than the way constructs were shown before which was a bright glowy more pastel limey green, I made the suit itself darker, and the lines glow.
Kind of gives it a sort of Tron feel, but very effective for letting the character hold a bit more weight on the page.
It's going to be the way that sort of thing is done from now on, so it's super cool to pioneer something like that!
This is a page from my first issue as ongoing colorist for Green Lantern Corps. This is from issue #53. Good to be back on a Green Lantern title, as these books are always so much fun. not to mention, GLCOR was my first job ever for DC with issues 27 and 28.
It's a pleasure to be working with these guys, as it's really amazing art and a blast to work on!
wonderful job on the glows! i really must know how you did that! how do you change some lines into other colors and not others.. promise me you'll tell me someday ok?
I like your approach on this one.
