I was gonna ask about the owl but I just read through the comments so it wouldn't be a burden. It's actually quite cute what you did, leave it as is. Overall piece is beautiful. As always. And thanks for the walk-through.

she sort of reminds me of Artemis , because in what I've read, shes sometimes depicted with red hair and in some statues there is a deer with her

As with everyone else, I love what you did with the hair! The position of the shoulders and breasts seems to conflict with the position of her back though. If the breasts were a little lower and if you soften the line at her shoulder so that her back could be incorporated into the flow into the shoulder then it would help with the overall continuity of her posture. I like the way you used the colors to draw focus to your subject.

Darlin', you don't need to change a thing. Your art is fabulous with or without my novice critique :) But it is nice to bounce ideas off each other, isn't it? There's a darn good reason you are one of the people I watch to see what's new, maybe you can drop a few hints my way ;)

lol, well what i was gettin at is you're probably like, dead on with every observation you made. but it's frustrating to hear that on an image you cant just erase and redo, you know?

cause it's with blue pencil only and it would've looked really great if coloured. now it kind of loks like you forgot about it. but it is very beautiful thought.

it IS colored, blue and green with white highlights on his eyes. it was a conscious personal choice to have him more hidden than bam right in your face and distracting.

To quote myself from your journal:

"... with the amount of people watching you and actively trying to give you critique on your recent endeavours, how many voices can you listen to in your head before you snap?"

The whole owl thing is weird tming cause the first owl I've ever seen in California (or really in the last 8 years even) was just outside my window the other night hooting like mad. I walked out onto my patio and had it fly over my head and scared the crap out of me cause all I saw was a huge white wingspan and a clatter on my chimney where it landed, then it flew back and forth passed my window all night while I was trying to sleep.
Maybe you summoned it :P
