the background was a sort of framing gimmick, but since there wasn't one drawn it stayed very simple.
so, we haven't worked together for a very long time, i think 2 or 3 years. i used to color pretty much everything he drew, just for fun. but of course, my career took off and the time i get to color something that isn't all my own art just for fun is just about nil!
but jamie actually asked me to do this as a commission, and since we hadn't worked together for so long, how could i refuse
note me if you have any commission questions for rates or availability.
Awesome work as always. I do love how the mouth turned out. It seams so difficult from what I have viewed on the many pages of DA to get a mouth the way you want it. Tongues are a pain in the butt from what I can tell. The way you created a more 3d appearance by having the blue sound waves feathering out more and more as it got closer is wonderful.
When you do clothes, do you start with a dark, saturated color and shade over it with a lighter, less saturated color, or do the reverse and start with a desaturated color going over it with a more saturated one?
